I took these images in Kaga, Ishikawa Japan in the Spring of 2007. This was apparently the only remnant of a religious themed amusement park which had gone out of business. This section of the park is (was) still open to the public and kept up for the most part. It’s easy to find due to a 240′ statue of the Kannon Bodhisattva, otherwise known as The Goddess of Mercy. From what little I was able to find out about this site, it seems that the park was run by a Japanese religious cult and privately financed. I wasn’t able to find out much about the place online. Here are a few images I took there.
